About Plano Gutter Pros
What this site is, what it is not, and why it talks about downspouts so much.
A Referral Service for Gutter Work
Plano Gutter Pros is a website and a phone number. When you call or send the form, your request is passed to an independent gutter contractor that works in Plano and the cities beside it. That contractor contacts you, measures the house, writes the quote and does the job. The agreement, the price and the warranty are between you and that company.
The site does not own a truck or a forming machine and has no installers on a payroll. It may be paid by the contractor for the introduction. You are not charged for using it.
Why the Site Is Organized Around Water and Soil
Collin County sits almost entirely on the Blackland Prairie: deep clay over marl and chalk, known for the cracks it opens in dry weather. Houses here from the 1960s on are slabs poured on that clay.
A slab on shrinking and swelling clay does best when the soil around it stays evenly moist. A roof with no gutters wets the soil in a stripe under every eave. A roof with gutters and short downspouts wets it in four or five soaked spots at the corners. Neither is even. Getting the water collected and then released well away from the slab is the job, and it is why this site treats extensions and drain lines as part of gutter work and not an afterthought.
The site makes no claim that gutters will stop a foundation from moving. Foundations on this clay move for several reasons, and anyone promising otherwise is selling something.

What You Will Not Find Here
- Photographs presented as finished jobs. The pictures on this site are illustrations.
- Reviews that nobody wrote.
- A storm history for Plano with hail sizes. No official record naming the city with a size was found, so none is printed.
- A price presented as a quote. The cost page prints other people's published ranges with their dates.
How Facts Get Onto These Pages
City rules come from City of Plano documents. State law is cited by section. Rain figures come from the National Weather Service and NOAA. Neighborhood build years come from a real estate guide and are attributed that way. Where something could not be confirmed, the page says so instead of rounding it into a fact.
